It’s even more important than making sure you drink enough water every day. It’s more important than fiber, fruit and vegetables. (Of course, you need all of these, too).
It’s about RE-PROGRAMMING your mind so that you can see yourself living a life free from constipation, stomach bloating and gas.
Some patients come to me after two or three decades of suffering from bowel problems. They are so used to these conditions it’s almost impossible to think of their lives without them.
Now, some of you might not be willing to believe that what your mind thinks can directly affect your body’s ability to remain healthy. I’ll argue that in another article. But, for now, would you deny that it can INDIRECTLY affect your ability to heal?
Let me explain…
Your mind can easily — consciously and unconsciously — perform ACTIONS that would better or worsen your constipation.
For example, you may find yourself “forgetting” to buy the specific type of water I recommend in Constipation Relief Strategy #9, at the grocery stores. Or you might not bother doing this easy thing to cheese next time you make a sandwich (Constipation Relief Strategy #26).
Or, where you mind comes along and overtly says, “Don’t bother buying any of those anti-constipating fruits (Constipation Relief Strategy #32), it’s not going to work!”
“It’s not going to work… you’re not going to change… this is how you’re built… you’ll never have regular bowel movements, etc.”
Sadly, some people will fall prey to this type of mental counsel. They won’t even try and find out for themselves, whether the strategies work or not in bringing constipation relief.
Unless you’re VERY strong willed it’s hard to overcome this type of mental programming. The brain is very much like a computer. If it’s been exposed to constipation, stomach bloating and gas for years… it will have rewired itself to expect those sorts of conditions.
Next article I’ll show you a specific technique you can use to transform this type of negative programming.
In the meantime, I’ll assume you have gotten down to business and are starting to apply some of the information in the free email series and the strategies from Constipation Relief for Women.
As you apply these methods, over the next few days, keep a good eye on your mind. Don’t try to control its thought patterns. Just be aware of what it’s chattering about.
Is it saying, “Well, these are great ideas! I wish I’d known about them years ago. I’m going to be going like an elephant before I know it…”
Or is your mind complaining, doubting and questioning whether these natural remedies for constipation are going to work before they’re even given a fair try. Is it dwelling on how your life has been? Is it suggesting that nothing’s going to change?
Just keep an eye on it for now.
Don’t let it know what we’re up to.
You need to know who your opponent is. Any negative patterns of thinking need to be slain. If you want your body to be filled with health, then we must remove disease from its roots.
